First welcome.
When shopping for SUV, for TV, (or even trucks for that matter) be sure you pay attention to the *when properly equipped small print. Some Pilots might have rating of 5000, not sure all are. You should check VIN before you lay money down.
years ack when I was looking at a Pilot, the 5000 lb rating was for towing a boat. a TT lowered that to 3500 IIRC

How far out of your way are you willing to go.
Us30 is worse than I80.
Take I39 S to I80 E. Time your trip to be on I80 after 10AM and before 2PM.
Or 9PM to 5 AM.

To avoid the northern Va backups and DC area you could get off at exit 104 (one above Kings Dominion) then take that road directly to 301 and follow it over the Nice bridge and the Bay Bridge until you reach Route 1 in De which ends at 95, take it north thru Wilmington and get off on Route 202 to Rt 1 south then follow to the exit for the KOA. There are traffic lights on 301 to contend with but I prefer that to the traffic on 95, also tolls on the Bay bridge and 301 by-pass in De. Good luck and safe travels.gets my vote. avoid I 95 in dc area as much as possible.

It's not just weight, don't overlook wind resistance. If you have a 10 MPH headwind, the load on the TV is increased substantially.
when I was comparing a pilot vs my highlander, the pilot was rated to tow 5,000 lbs. towing a boat, 3500 towing a trailer.

I thought that "turtle tops" were assembled in Mt. Airy MD. could try to locate somebody familiar with them. I checked one out in Brunswick, md and it seemed less than top qualitiiy with the overhead sliding shelf/bed covered with wooden colored shelf paper.
